Stan joined Pratt and Whitney’s Florida Research and Development Center in
1969. He was a project engineer in the F100-PW-100 Fan group for 5 years,
test engineer in the F100 group for 10 years, supervisor of F100 test
engineers for 15 years, Validation Manager for F100, J52, TF33 engines for
4 years, and finished his Pratt and Whitney career at Tinker Air Force
Base working the Engine Life Management Program for Controls and Externals
on the F100 engine. During this time he worked on the development of the
F100-PW-100, F100-PW-200, F100-PW-220, F100-PW-229, F100-PW-232 (never
produced) and the F100-PW-1120 for the Israeli Lavi Fighter. Stan worked
with the Israeli Air Force for 5 years during the development of the
PW1120 engine in West Palm Beach Florida and then lived in Israel for 3
years. He went to Israel as the LAVI/PW1120 and F4/PW1120 Flight Test

months of his arrival. He spent the remainder of the 3 years working the
upgrade of over 90 engines from a hydro-mechanical based control system to
a improved life engine with Electronic based control system. Stan retired
from Pratt and Whitney in 2006 after 37 years. He is currently working
part time as a consultant to PW on (what else) the F100 engines. Stan was
a member of the ASME Palm Beach Section from 1984 to 1999 and treasurer
